Welcome to Adelaide Tinnitus Clinic,

Specialising in Tinnitus and Sound Sensitivity Relief and Hearing Health Assessments

Living with tinnitus or hyperacusis can impact your quality of life, but there are treatments available.

You don’t have to face these challenges alone.

Alongside tinnitus assessments, we offer hearing health screenings for musicians and people exposed to occupational or recreational noise. We also specialise in comprehensive hearing and hyperacusis assessments, as well as DVA claims with clear documentation and supportive guidance.

At Adelaide Tinnitus Clinic, we take the time to understand how tinnitus or hyperacusis is affecting your daily life. Through in-depth assessments and personalised management plans tailored to your unique needs. Our goal is to help you feel more in control and supported so that living with tinnitus or hyperacusis no longer impacts your quality of life.

Our approach involves:

  • A detailed diagnostic assessment to identify the possible causes of your tinnitus and the factors contributing to its onset, persistence, and reactivity.

  • An evaluation of the impact your tinnitus has on your daily life.

  • A personalised explanation of your hearing test results, including an overview of the peripheral and central auditory systems.

  • Education on the science behind tinnitus-related distress and annoyance.

  • A customised management program designed to address your unique needs.

No two individuals experience tinnitus the same way, so we ensure your unique management plan is carefully tailored to provide understanding, and a clear path forward.

If further management is required we’re trained in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy, Neuromonics, Brain Wave and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. If medical intervention is required, we work with a trusted network of specialists, including Ear Nose and Throat surgeons (ENT), physiotherapists, audiologists for hearing management, and counsellors.

We focus entirely on diagnosis and management — no pushy hearing aid sales, just expert care.

Through thorough evaluations, personalised strategies, and ongoing support, we aim to prevent tinnitus and, for those who already experience it, reduce its impact. Our goal is to help you naturally habituate and achieve relief, improving your overall quality of life.

What is tinnitus?

Tinnitus is the perception of sound in the ears or head when no external source is present. Often described as ringing, buzzing, hissing, or whistling, tinnitus can vary in pitch, volume, and frequency. It may occur intermittently or constantly and can affect one or both ears.

Tinnitus can be a symptom of an underlying issue, such as hearing loss, wax obstruction or exposure to loud noises. It can impact concentration, sleep, and quality of life. Treatment focuses on managing the underlying causes and reducing the impact through various therapies and strategies.
